Starting Tuesday off with some news from Mombacho Cigars. There were a handful that made there way into the wild a few months ago and I bought a few. I smoked one last night and it was delicious!
The latest release from Mombacho Cigars S.A. is the first cigar to use a Nicaraguan Broadleaf wrapper. After a pre-release late 2018 in the United States and Switzerland, Casa Favilli Cigars are now shipping worldwide.
Mombacho Cigars S.A. announced today that it started shipping Casa Favilli to retailers worldwide.
“This cigar is the first Nicaraguan Broadleaf ever in the industry. I am proud to say we have done something truly unique, Casa Favilli is very special”, said Claudio Sgroi, President and Master Blender of Mombacho Cigars.
Casa Favilli is the third core line cigar in the Mombacho Cigars portfolio and continues the company’s tradition of producing 100% Nicaraguan puros. The blend consists of a Nicaraguan Broadleaf wrapper with binder and filler tobaccos from Jalapa and Condega. The cigar is named in honor of the Mombacho Cigars factory colonial building in Granada, Nicaragua.
Casa Favilli will be available in 12-count boxes and in three sizes: Robusto – 5 x 50 – MSRP $11.00
Toro – 6 x 52 – MSRP $12.00
Torpedo – 5 1⁄2 x 52 – MSRP $13.00
The cigars are in regular production since late 2018 and the company works constantly with their farmers to ensure the quality and availability of the broadleaf wrappers in the future.
