Here we are at Day 6 already, time is really racing by. I decided that I’m going to try to ship everything at the same time since I got a coupon for 20% off USPS shipping at Staples and that will save me a lot of cash!! I enjoyed the heck out of my Joya Red on my walk last night, it’s a solid, medium bodied smoke with great flavor. The winner of the box of Joya de Nicaragua Joya Red is Brian D, and I’m sure he will enjoy these cigars! Please send your address! Just to ease everyone’s minds, all the cigars for this event have been kept in a dedicated coolerdor at the appropriate temperature and humidity! It’s still always a good idea to let cigar rest after they’ve made any kind of journey! Next up:
Tortuga Cigars/Legacy Brands
For Day 6 we have a really special present! Regular readers will know that I have an affinity for the Tortuga line, and Victor Vitale, the mastermind behind the brand, and owner of Legacy Brands, lives nearby in Philly, so I get to see him from time to time. Victor ‘s put together a special Connecticut Shade Cigar, the Tortuga 215 Reserva Regalo. These aren’t available anywhere, they a re a very special limited release and are a bit stronger than the milder Connecticut Tortuga 215 Reserva coming out in January. Victor tells me that the Regalo will never be released. The lucky winner will get three of the five count boxes (15 cigars). These are a fat Toro size, 6″ x 56, and are fantastic cigars! I’m calling today “Tortuga Tuesday”!
Rules
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on that day’s post and if you like, in one sentence tell us what comes to mind when you think of Tortuga Cigars. It’s not a condition to win, but I’d like for the folks who make this all possible to come away with some consumer feedback. Also, be sure to visit the links for each item. Comments on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere else will not count, but feel free to spread the word!
Until tomorrow,
CigarCraig
Another one I’ve never had the pleasure of smoking. I haven’t seen a single one in Georgia but I’ve heard good things.
Ah-ooga, Ah-ooga, I’d like to get me a Tortuga! Cigar that is, a brand I have yet to try!
Gosh, I would love to try these, I have never seen this brand before, but would love to call them my new favorite! Here’s hoping I can win!!
Have never had but hoping I will soon!!! Thanks for the chance.
I think it would make a really good gift for my uncle. Since I know he most likely hasn’t had one.
Tortuga brings to my mind the Pirates of the Caribbean.
“More importantly, it is indeed a sad life that has never breathed deep the sweet, proliferous bouquet that is Tortuga, savvy?” – Jack Sparrow.
that looks to be a wonderful stick
One of the favorite cigars I’ve tried, but can’t find. I even blogged about it:

Haven’t tried any of these, my shops have limited selections.
when I grow up, I want to look like Victor. but first, I will have to make an appointment at the Men’s Hair Club. Dang! yes, I would love to try these…
My father and brother in law have a tradition of a Christmas night bonfire and smoking a cigar. I’d love to win so that I could give them to these special guys.
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for checking in. I’ve read everyone’s post (so far 112) and am so happy to see all of the nice comments and enjoyment shared with a Tortuga cigar. Your positive reaction fuels my passion and makes the struggle to find the best tobacco all worth it. I am grateful that you’ve all shared your thoughts. THANK YOU> Happy Holidays to you all 🙂
Go Craig go!
Sincerely,
Victor Vitale
New brand for me, but would love to try them.
Never heard of this brand. Might have to look them up.
Looks very nice. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a Tortuga cigar, would love to try one, will have to be on the look out.
These sound yummy! Would love to win these and the boxes would be a great bonus 🙂
Tortuga you say…yes please!
Tortuga brings to mind an afternoon on the deck with my grill fired up, a cooler full of Belgian Ale, and a Tortuga 215 waiting on the picnic table.
Tortuga cigars all the way.
I’ve admittedly only had one Tortuga, the Reserva Connecticut. In a word … wonderful!
I would love to try for the first time Tortuga Cigar!! Amazing giveaways
Tortuga cigars make me think of pirates. And clear Caribbean waters. And cigars.
I would really love to give them a try
