Yesterday was the last Saturday before Christmas, big shopping day, I guess. I managed to get some presents shipped out and while the post office was crazy, the stores didn’t seem too bad. If I may offer a piece of advice to the contest entrants: please use a good e-mail address on your comment! I prefer that the winner drop me a note with his info, but after a couple days without hearing I senT an e-mail, and it was undeliverable. Rich M, if you’re out there, drop me a note so I can get you your box of Arandoza cigars! I’m sure there will be plenty of people willing to take your place! Anyway the winner of the Fleur de la Reine from Day 10 is Andrew Cusson. Please let me know where to have the folks at United Cigar Retailers send your lovely box of cigars! Let’s see what Day 11 has in store for us:
CAO Cigars
Day 11 brings us another offering from General Cigar Co., the newest selection from CAO. The CAO Columbia has Colombian and Brazilian fillers, Cameroon binder and a wrapper from the Jamastran valley in Honduras. The Bogota is a 6″ x 60 and is presented in a box of 20 cigars. This is a cigar I have yet to smoke. I may see if I can find one to smoke today, it sounds really interesting. Thanks again to Victoria and the folks at General Cigar Co. for putting this under the tree today!
Rules
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on that day’s post and if you like, in one sentence tell us what comes to mind when you think of CAO Cigars. It’s not a condition to win, but I’d like for the folks who make this all possible to come away with some consumer feedback. Also, be sure to visit the links for each item. Comments on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere else will not count, but feel free to spread the word!
Until tomorrow,
CigarCraig
Thanks for the contest. Haven’t yet had a CAO I didn’t like. Good luck to all.
Congrats to Andrew, and big thanks to Craig. Love those CAO cigars! I have yet to meet one I do not like!
I love me most of CAOs products
I think of the world when I hear CAO. Mighty fine cigars.
CAO has a lot of great smokes, just picked up an Amazon Bason, going to give it a try today.
I have got a to try me one of these bad boys.
Love those CAO’s. Merry Christmas BOTL!
I haven’t smoked this one yet, but I like a lot of cigars from the CAO lineup.
Ahhhh, I brand I have smoke and love. A great cigar in a cool box with cool bands.
These are great cigars
Fabulous surprise.. Would love for it to be mine this holiday! ❄️Sure would help keep me warm on these cold winter nights❄️
This is actually a cigar I have not tried yet from CAO. Oops!
I haven’t smoked many of these but would love a box.
Wow !!! 6 x 60? Big boys !!! CAO has done well with this cigar IMHO. I was fortunate enough to be gifted by Victoria of GC with a couple of them. They were very nice cigars: advertised as having some unique tobacco in the blend. There is a unique flavor about them, likely that hard-to-get Columbian leaf. Very pleasant smoke and a great color choice for the boxes !!!
another good cigar.
Love CAO Cigars. My favorites are the Brazilia & MX2
Looks good
CAO makes some great cigars. Thanks for contest
I’ve enjoyed every CAO I’ve ever had. I haven’t had the Columbia yet though.
CAO!…..Christmas Ain’t Over……@CigarCraig!
Great company and great smoke!
And presents round the tree!
Thanks for the contest
I’ve been wanting to try these maybe this will be my chance.
CAO makes some great sticks. I like how they make limited editions for the holidays. Thanks Craig.
I love the CAO Brazilia, I’m sure I would love these.
Love CAO Brazilia and their flavored cigars are also really good.
I haven’t enjoyed a CAO cigar in some time now but brazillian tobacco always offers some unique and interesting flavors.
Great brand with an assortment of strengths to suit most tastes.
is today the day CAO is coming my way?????
When I want quality in a cigar I reach for a CAO.
I think of the different countries represented.
wide variety of labels , with a smoke for everyone
Havent smoked a General cigar in a while…
CAO has been coming up with some unique and varied ideas for cigars lately. I especially like the Flathead line, but I have tried the Columbia and they are very good too.
Oh my goodness, the best prize yet. I was one of a lucky few to sample the CAO Columbia before they were released. Absolutely phenomenal mild to medium bodied smoke. Miss V took good care of you Craig when she sent these for the 12 Days contest. Now I’m hoping you’ll pass the favor on to me. Fingers crossed.
These are awesome smokes that would be great to share with the group.
Dibs on any and all unclaimed prizes!
CAO mighty good
Looking forward to my first one.
I tried a sampler of CAO’s a while back and enjoyed them all except the Italia. It was awful. I have no idea what happened on that stick.
Smoked one of these and the bus smoke nyc, was a very nice smoke.
Thanks for the contests.
This one on my short list. The Amazon is amazing. Have fun mates.
CAO was one of my first cigars. Love them
if Rich M. can not be reached, I’ll be glad to be his back winner. just saying. 🙂
CAO have always been a favorite of mine. I would love to try one of these for sure. Merry Christmas All!!
CAO makes some great smokes, thanks for the contest Craig!
I have loved every CAO cigar I have ever had! Great line of cigars!
CAO is my go to brand. If I’m looking for something new to try I grab one of theirs and it hasn’t failed yet; I never an without one in my humidor. 🙂
The Columbia is decent, but I’d like to have something a little bit stronger. Knowing CAO, however, they’ll get around to adding a lil ligero and call it one of the limited Holiday editions, but it won’t be as good as the original….
CAO…AOK…OMG…
Yes please
Gee, I’ve never…had a bad cigar from CAO. I especially like the Brazilia line, but look forward to sampling a few of these.
CAO Cigars? Tasty! Love your blog Craig!
Now this is one I would LOVE it win as CAO is synonymous with excellence!
When I think of CAO, I think of a premium cigar I know I can trust!
CAO is one of the best cigars on the market! And I want some!
The CAO Extreme was amazing. The Italia was pretty good, and the Brazil Gol! was delicious.
These are very tasty, smooth, and unique. 6×60 is a touch out of my comfort zone, thanks so much Craig I’ve had a great time commenting (and not winning 😉
Love me some CAO I have a box of mx2 on the way I’d love to win this
Out back, feet up, and an ice cold IPA
CAO makes me think old school.
Eye catching packaging.
Man, CAO is excellent!
Good cigars; hope to be smoking them soon!
CAO
Yes please
I’ve only ever had the Amazon Basin from CAO, which I enjoyed!
When I think of CAO, I think of geography class. While this is bad memories for me, its good advertising for them 🙂
I’ve been wanting to try this.
Always one I pick up on a trip south to the USA. Doesn’t matter which CAO brand or Vitola if they have em I’m gonna at least get 1.
Love the CAO’s! !
Wow craig even check to see if I won when I commented Thank you so much!
when i think of CAO, i think of The Sopranos.
My go to cigar company! Great sticks, great prices!
CAO = smooth, rich smoke and a very even burn. Love CAO cigars!
Wow, one I’ve heard of, lol!
When I think of CAO, I think ‘consistency’. I, like many others, was worried that the core blends would change after joining General but, all that I’ve had still taste the same — to me anyways. I also thought the new blends would fail to perform but, I was impressed with the Flatheard series.
CAO Makes some good sticks
so far my experience with CAO is the Brazilia and the Gold Maduro’s; as I tend to follow my taste in beer: darker tends to be better. That being said, I’m willing to try these and expand my experience based on the quality of my other experiences with CAO.
Have only had one but really enjoyed it.
Look tasty
CAO Cigars has always been the Boutique of the Boutique blends, establishing it as one of the dependables.
Never had this cigar, would be interesting to see what columbian tobacco is like
Hope today is my lucky day
I’m not much of a CAO fan but this box may just change my mind
Lookin good!
I’ve never seen these… Send em this way , in my sexy box
I know I can’t win again this year, but just had to say that I love CAO’s cigars! Did not experience any drop in quality with General Cigar that many feared.
I had the pleasure of smoking one of these gems the other day. I would LOVE to a box of these. The flavor is unique and great.
CAO is one of my favorite brands. Love the La Traviata and MX2.
CAO a brand I know and love. Haven’t tried everything they make yet, including these, but I am sure they will be YUM
oh, yah! I have been reading about these new Colombian CAO’s a lot lately, and I am really excited to try these. send’ em my way, please, please, please.
Niiice!
I’ve only heard great things about the CAO Colombia. Can’t wait to try it myself! With other CAOs as a guide, I can only imagine this will be terrific.
I remember the late 90’s era CAO Annversario (later L’Anniversaire) with the maduro wrapper that came in the red box. The band looked just like the Partagas Serie D no. 4 from Cuba. That was a great stick. Haven’t really smoked many CAO stick since then, just haven’t really found any that I truly enjoyed.
6×60 is a little large for my preference. Never had this one, but the Brazilia has always been good for me
i Think of a smooth smoke
love the brazilias
I always like trying something new!
Cao is a brand I’m very familiar with, but it is one that I’ve not had for a very long time.
