Welcome to day 1 of the 2014 CigarCraig’s 12 Spectacular Days of Cigar Giveaways! For the fourth year in a row it’s time for me to put on my Santa hat and begin the marathon of gift giving. Here are the official rules, same as always: Every day for the next twelve days I’ll post a new giveaway and announce the winner of the previous day’s present. All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on that day’s post and if you like, in one sentence tell us what comes to mind when you think of: <that day’s vendor>. It’s not a condition to win, but I’d like for the folks who make this all possible to come away with some consumer feedback. Also, be sure to visit the links for each item. Comments on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere else will not count, but feel free to spread the word! Once you win, you are no longer eligible to win again. I’ll ship out the presents as soon as I can, please recognize that this is a busy time of year! I will make every effort to get everything shipped by the last week in December. Last year was amazing, and I think this year will be even better! Now, on with the show!
Gurkha Cigars/East India Trading Co.
We are starting things off BIG with this fantastic present from the folks at Gurkha! We have a large metal poster, a Gurkha Tactical Field Knife, a Baracuda dual flame lighter, a cool Gurkha backpack (that comes in it’s own bag!) and as if that wasn’t enough, a box of East India Trading Co. Clasisic Cigar Figurado (6″ x 58). That’s a whole load of goodies! Thank you to Bianca and everyone at Gurkha for providing this bounty of goodies and for her support throughout the year.

Gurkha a good introduction to cigars! Something for every flavor profile!
Thanks for the opportunity. Gurkha is always one of my summer afternoon favorites.
The full flavor cigars from Gurkha is what tells me the day is done.
Gurkhas were my first cigars, profiles for every level of smoker.
Decent cigars
Flavor flavor flavor
Never had one Craig, don’t think we get them here, but I’m sure they’re lovely.
craig, feeling lucky this year!
I always think of an explorer cutting his way through a jungle with a cigar in his mouth. Their advertisements are cool and rugged and they have awesome merchandise. It got me to try their cigars.
Gurkha to me are everyday/intro cigars. I have used them many times when I host poker night or want to take a bunch to the guys golfing. Also cool for me cause my wife bought me the bronze glass tubes for our anniversary when the precious metal was bronze. Cant go wrong with the new Ghost as well.
Thanks again for running this contest and the posts throughout the year.
Nice combo to help “fight” off the winter. East India Trading Co (Gurkha)s new releases have ALL been a huge success. I have been enjoyed almost all of them. Way to step it up.
I’ve had several Gurkhas and they DO NOT disappoint me, would love to try the East India Trading Co. Clasisic.
Wow. Nice Gurkha package.
Never tried any of the Gurkha lines, but any cigar that comes with its own tactical knife MUST be good, right?
Gurkha has always given me the impression as a bold, full bodied, he–man sort of cigar. To be honest, I’ve never tried one so that is just the image which comes to mind. Who knows, maybe I have been missing out on something I’d like. Could be one to add to my to-do list for the new year.
Gurkha Evil was one of the first cigars I really enjoyed and was the reason why I started to become more interested in cigars
Gurkha offers a huge variety of cigars for every taste profile & offers impeccable packaging.
Haven’t had many Gurkha’s but would like to try these cause heard they are very good. Thanks for the great contest
Its that time again. Good luck and happy holidays all.
Cigars and stuff? Nice
I’ve not had a Gurkha since my early days of cigar smoking and ordering from CI. But I’d love to win this very nice prize package.
Great presentation. Good cigar for value.
Don’t buy them online, get them from Gurkha preferred vendor, you will enjoy them.
Thanks for another great 12 days.
When I think of Gurkha, the first thing that comes to mind are their wonderful boxes. I only like a few of them: 15 year Seller Reserve, Avenger, Assassin and Evil. I loved the first deployment of the Seduction. Wish the blend remained the same.
Gurkha has the coolest, most original packaging of their cigars. Thanks to Craig and Gurkha for this great giveaway.
Favorite Ghurka was the G5 Avenger. Still have a few left.
Great Prize. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Outstanding start !
My favorite holiday contest – I look forward to Cigar Craig’s 12 Days of Christmas every year!
While some of their cigars can be enjoyable, for the most part I find Gurkhas to be incredibly overpriced.
Thanks for another year of this, Craig! Reading these comments aren’t what you usually hear about Gurkha. I’ve always considered them the WalMart of cigar manufacturers. They make a ton of different ones, and usually something for everyone who’s into it, mostly as an entry to cigars. I’ve enjoyed the Ghost recently, put off massive smoke.
Craig, you’ve done a GREAT job every year with these…can’t wait to see all the cool stuff you offer!
Gurkha is a great intro cigar and they are also easy on the budget. They allow you to dial in your favorite flavor profile for cheap.
An impressive first day present.
I’ve always like Gurkha’s consistency and smoke output. Great cigars when mowing the lawn or when fishing!
Rock N Roll – Send it this way!
When I hear Gurkha, I think “smooth”, as most of their main lines are very smooth and easy to smoke.
And also “Big Freakin Bands!”
I always have Gurkha’s in my humidor.
wow…..what a way to start!! thanks
“Gurkha”, the “Rolls Royce” of cigars.
When i think of Gurkha Cigars, i think of the huge knife they had in the special ops box.
Gurkha was one of my first cigars. Flavor profile for everyone.
The name originally spoke of some of the toughest fighting men in the sub-continent. Not a cigar to be taken lightly.
A cigar brand that I started on and continue to enjoy. I like the great expansion of their product line in the past few years. Great additions to their lineup!
Gurkha has some pretty awesome cigar boxes
Never had a Gurka, but your description of the ‘Seduction’ the other day sounded good.
A name that is known to many, and is a good And smoke.
Sweet contest and sweeter gift! Would love to see this under my Christmas Tree!
Cant beat a Gurkha.. Kaiser is doing it right
Gurkha is for sure one of my favorite brands
The 125th Anniversary like sweet kisses
Gurhka cigars are all I smoke. Never had a bad one
Love the Habanna 20’s – especially with my 3 sons – great way to spend quality time with them!
A good way to try a lot of different cigar profiles.
I enjoy the Cellar Reserves. Thanks for putting this on Craig!
Tight ash 😉
When I think of Gurkha cigars I think of relaxing on the back deck.
Love the “story” behind Gurkha, love the Ghost, and without a doubt – the coooool boxes.
Love me some Gurkhas!
I always enjoy Gurkha cigars. I have over 300 resting in the box right now. I truly appreciate their continued support of all out troops(myself included).
When I think of Gurkha cigars, I think of one thing. QUALITY. It’s hard to beat a quality cigar. Will never smoke anything else.
when i think if Gurkha cigars i think of a great variety for my smoking pleasure.
I can’t say that I’ve had a bad Gurkha cigar.
First premium cigar I ever smoked was the grand reserve.
Gurkha – for the discerning cigar warrior!
Never had a bad smoke from Gurkha.
Awesome! Would love to win, gurkha is some high quality relaxation tools 😉
When I think of Gurkha cigars I think of having my favorite the ghost
I think of Gurkha as the best at marketing.
Gurkha got me though an 8 month Afghanistan deployment
First thing that comes to mode is that they get a bad rap but I myself is a fan of many of the Gurhka sticks out there especially the Ghost and Widow.
I have some nice Gurkhas resting for a special occasion.
Love the Ghost, got my first one at Big Smoke Vegas, and met the big man himself!
Some people have certain issues with their Gurkha cigars…and I am no different. My issue is, I always seem to not have enough!
Great opportunity for some cool stuff. Gurkhas have all been really smooth especially like the 125th anniversary.
Gurkha is my favorite cigar company, and the ninja is the best cigar i’ve smoked.
My last deployment… I had my first evil, great smoke!
I’d love one right now!
Gurkha assassin are my go to smoke. Thick plumes of white smoke and great body.
Had Gurkha’s Ancient Warrior as my wedding smoke
The first thing that comes to mind is…All I want to do is add more and more Gurkha cigars to my collection. And cannot wait to try any new blends they come out with along with the old and hard to find Gurkha cigars! It is a pleasure every time I light up a Gurkha!
Awesome cigars…high quality
Every time I need to relax with a stick after a log week of work, Gurkha is the stick I pick. Seasons Greetings!
Big fan of the cellar reserves…looking forward to the others as well.
No better stick at the end of the day than a Gurkha! Full flavor profiles and a stick for every occasion! Seasons Greetings!
Gurkha 15-year and Bulleit Bourbon can make any night a great one!
Love the cellar reserve!
Great start to the contest. Being a former military guy, I know how to put all of these items to great use. Gurkha are very good cigars. Have a Merry Christmas.
My first Gurkha was the Empire VI. It was delicious… ever since I’ve always made sure ti have a few different Gurkha’s in the humi for those nights where I’m wanting something amazing.
Gurkha was one of my first cigars, and I always come back to them. Glad they brought me to your blog, can’t wait to check it out.
Gurkha was the first cigar I ever smoked, a Monogram I picked up at my local B&M.
Thank you craig for putting this up.
I love gurkha cigars
To me, Gurkha = AWESOME selections. They have something for everyone’s palate. You can’t go wrong with a Gurkha!
Gurkha Crest salomon maduro!
Gurkha cigars were the first that I fell in love with and would look for. It’s still my favorite smoke and it was an honor to meet the owner of Gurkha cigars last year
I have begun the quest to try every cigar brand gurkha makes and write about the experience and what’s going on in my life at the time and then leave it for my family.
Relaxation for the warrior class: whether your fight is in the urban jungle or real…
Love the ghost best smoke ever
My favorite smoke is the Grand Reserve. There are times I will give one to close friends, and they all have the same response. Wow is this legal? What is in this? I am getting high. These statements come from guys that smoke cigars all the time. I always tell them the first time they smoke it, be somewhere that you can sit back and relax, because you won’t be going anywhere for awhile.
What a great prize !!! As to Gurkha’s, if your readers haven’t tried the Gurkha Double Centurion, I would suggest that they jump on a sale (don’t EVER pay retail) and grab a ten-pack. They will need some humidor time, but after a few weeks, they will reward the smoker with great flavor.
Oops! Burkha rhymes with Ghurka!
