CigarCraig’s 12 Spectacular Days of Cigar Giveaways 2015 Day 4: MBombay Cigars

It’s day four already, it’s hard to believe. Today we have another great offering, this time from the folks at Bombay Tobak. MBombay Cigars are made in the same factory in Costa Rica that makes the Atabey, Byron and Bandolero cigars that we saw here on Saturday. They come from Mel Shah, who owns Fame Cigar, Wine and Microbrew Beer Lounge in Palm Springs, CA. I’ve smoked a handful of the MBombay line and found them to be of the highest quality, and the Classic Connecticut might just be my favorite Connecticut cigar in the last year or so. Mel and his staff have provided a six cigar sampler of some of their more special cigars. There’s a Classic Belicoso, a Corojo Oscuro Perfecto, a KeSara Solomon, a Habano Churchill, a Mora Toro and a KeSara Vintage Reserve Nikka. It was nice to see the outpouring of love for Fred Rewey and his Nomad cigars! I really wanted to smoke the lancero last night, but I also wanted to save it for a time when I am back to the normal posting routine so I can give my opinion on it, and I only have one on hand at the moment. Instead I had a S-307 robusto which was awesome. Keep up the great work, Fred, and thank you again for providing yesterday’s gift! CigarCraig’s 12 Spectacular Days of Cigar Giveaways 2015 Day 3: Nomad Cigars

Today we have something very special for you from Fred Rewey at Nomad Cigar Co. Since the Tobacco Control Act took effect, cigar patrons, retail tobacconists and manufacturers from across the premium cigar industry have been fighting in Washington, D.C. to preserve the simple enjoyment of a premium cigar – to protect that enjoyment from a threatening bureaucracy at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

At this very moment, Congress is debating the federal budget, and regulations that can be addressed to prevent massive loss of jobs and the destruction of the cigar industry is a part of that debate.

CigarCraig’s 12 Spectacular Days of Cigar Giveaways 2015 Day 2: Selected Tobacco

Day two features some very special cigars courtesy of David Garofalo and the fine folks at 2 Guys Smokeshop, United Cigar Retailers and Selected Tobacco. It’s Saturday, so don’t forget to tune in to The Cigar Authority show at Noon Eastern Time, maybe the boys there give us a little shout-out? Anyway, today’s present is a 3 cigar sampler consisting of an Atabey, a Byron and a Bandolero cigar in re-usable humitubes, and a super cool Atabey porcelain ashtray. I’ve had the good fortune to have smoked each of these cigars and they are of exceptional quality, all made in Costa Rica under the watchful eye and ridiculously high standards of Nelson Alphonso.
